Participants.

The following youth, STEM, hobby, aviation & aerospace groups have been INVITED to participate in the new Tri-Valley STEM Center. Most have already responded with an affirmative interest in participating - in running all or parts of their programs from the STEM Center. But, not all have responded. Not all will be interested.

This list is provided as a means to relay the vision & potential of bringing these many groups together. Placement on this list does not imply endorsement of or interest in our plans. Arrangements with groups will be finalized before the hangar is completed in 2018.

Many of these groups exist by word of mouth only. Their marketing and outreach is limited. If you know of other local groups that would be suitable to join us at the new TriValley STEM Center, please, let us know about them.

One Facility. Many Programs.

When the STEM Center opens, the groups listed above won't have to make any major changes other than the location in which they run their programs. But, this one change will be transformational.

No longer will these programs be unknown to the public. No longer will these groups struggle to market their activities. The public will know where to find the best informal STEM programs in the Tri-Valley.

The public will go to the airport!

After all, we wouldn’t teach kids how to play football by lecturing to them about football for years and years before allowing them to play. And if education is about the “lighting of a flame not the filling of a pail” — we should be putting the tools of discovery, invention and fabrication at the finger tips of every child — inside and outside of the classroom.
